you'd have to be a stoner with a heck of a lot of money IMO. Gonna have to choose one: illicit drugs or the fish tank cause people probably can't afford both!
I'd go with the tank... it won't land you in jail :)

Well it sounds like you've got the cycle pretty much going good on its own. Just wait until your levels '0' out and follow jw's advice:

I just didn't have the money to fork over for the bigger models so I ordered an ES5-2 for my 58 gallon... still waiting for it... OMG why won't it get here! :)
I've read many a good thing about the EuroReef so I hope I won't be disappointed (especially since it took a lot to convince myself and...
What is the filtration that you currently run? Adding a fuge with some Macro's should help as BB stated. If you run a lot of mechanical media (not a bad idea IMO if you are religious about cleaning it) junk may build up in those and cause high nitrates.
You may not be happy with the damsels, but then again you may end up loving them... who knows?
Coraline propagates exponentially, in a few months with good water quality you'll notice a coraline explosion, so don't worry about that :)
As per the revelation given to me by Bang Guy I finally believe that it is time to junk my old skimmer.
Any opinions on the Euro-Reef ES5-2? I have about 70 gallons between my tank and sump.
I found one new for $228.00. Good price? Any other recommendations around that price range?
I'm just...
Thanks for the response Bang Guy.
I had been wondering about that as they have been plaguing my tank since the beginning. Can I get you to call my wife and tell her that I need to buy a EuroReef :) lol! I'm using a SeaClone now and hate it.
Do you think the two issues, surface scum and these...
I just recently moved a 44 into my new house. Found out I broke it two weeks later when SW started going everywhere so I had to move it into a new 60 gallon Oceanic. So i've moved twice in the past 5 months.
It is a pain in the butt. But it is doable. Save as much water as you can, keep all your...
I am also battling some 'surface scum'. The diverter on my maxi-jet broke and I haven't been able to get the right amount of surface agitation for the past few days... the problems appear to be unrelated however. Or are they.... it seems to have gotten worse after I broke my PH.
I think I may...
About the size of a grain of sand... they just won't go away! Some stuff (hairs and such that happen into the tank) hang out for a long time as well before they get picked up by my mechanical media as well... I just don't get it.
Perhaps I need to increase flow through my sump? I hope not...
