yeah i've got mine on a 60 gal w/ 1 inch pvc coming from the overlfow into a 20gal sump... I can't seem to figure out what to do though... right now I just kinda have it sitting under the return from the overflow.. but the thing is friggin huge, doesn't look right. Do you have a pic of how yours...

I can't seem to find a replacement bulb for my PowerQuad lighting system... it is a 96w bulb.. I think it was made by custom sealife (that now defunct company). I am upgrading in the next 6 months to some VHO but need to rpl this bulb to get me by (it is almost a year old). Any ideas?

I hate my blue legs... evil little [hr] . They are slowly dying off though, I've got one that is friggin huge that I think is murdering and eating the rest... so soon I will just have one really big vicious snail-hermit-eating mofo. I think I'll name him Mr. T. Cheers!

What I did was similar. First things first: Go to Home Depot and buy about 10 or 15 5 gallon paint buckets w/ lids. Wash them out with vinegar and fresh water. Make about 20 gallons of fresh saltwater, trust me you will more than likely need it. Better to have it and not need it than need it...

Money is still the big concern for me... I can't seem to find any decent base rock around here... the only stuff I've found needs to be shipped and therefore costs another 45-60 bucks (for shipping) on top of whatever the rock itself costs. Thanks for the replies!

If you already have inverts living in the tank then your cycle should be complete... I would warn against adding anything to your tank, but that is just me. IMO I don't like additives and prefer to take care of things with water changes.... Cheers!

I finally got a decent digital camera and can share my tank with everyone. I'd like everyones opinions. Please be gentle, I don't have a lot of spare money so everything I get takes me pretty much forever (that EuroReef was an anomaly) but for better or worse here it is: Full Tank:

Have you tried a digital one? There are a few out there, i use a coralife that I picked up for like 10 bucks... it's got a 56 inch corded probe so you can put it pretty much anywhere. The temp reading appears to be pretty accurate... but I don't really know how to test that. My .02
