I would use the above idea, if you put in fish to cycle they may die (not good) so if you use a shrimp no worries about wasted money and will cycle just as well. ---- Bill

What ever you put in with the lion better be bigger then his mouth or he will try to eat it to pork would be ok cause he can expand but the niger better be a bit larger just to make sure he stays a little bigger then the lions mouth. [hr] Bill

I dont know about carriers but i think your spiked is the long spine? If so he will eat your coraline but mine doesnt bother my polyps so im guessing he wouldnt bother your but all of these verts and fish have their own personalities and do there own thing. Most of the time they will act alike...

Yes as stated above they are pods you should get them all out and send them to me as fast as you can !!!!!!!!! LMAO --- they are signs that your tank is healthy and its producing its own food, I'm very happy for you lots of us had to buy them in detritvore kits to establish them in our tanks...

The more the merrier, they make great fish food and not all LR and or LS contain coepods they look like little white fleas almost you should start them in your reugium and when you get a good population move some in to your main tank. They breed realy fast and shouldnt take long to build a good...
