that light is fine that you have planned. hopefully the T5's are with individual reflectors

no chiller, the tank is right next to the window. and we live next to the beach. nothing dif than you, but up here in jersey it gets cold especially around this time of year. he has his lites about 12-14 inches above the tank. we just redid his 29 about a week ago. i would wait alittle longer...

do not dispose of the old water, why wait 3-4 weeks for a cycle when you can enjoy the tank in just 2-3 days. hell ive seen and actually transferred over corals all in the same day and everything was fine. no probs.... obviously there are more steps like plumbing, and lighting, and placement of...

my boy just got the same light fixture from the "bay" for his 29g. it will not fit a normal 29g so hanging it is the way to go. you will have to hang it alot more than 7-9inches... the lite is very brite and the actinics are extremely blue. i coached him into adding corals on the sand and slowly...

i personally run a ETSS reef devil skimmer,,,,also the MSX 200 is the same as an octopus skimmer, octo's seem to be better, the MSX are having problems. also ASM skimmers are good, i would find out the foot print that you have to work with then plan from there. here is a link to another skimmer...
