if u get a glass mag float and u have an acrylic tank it will scratch. but if u have a glass tank and acrylic float it will be fine.

glass is also ALOT heavier..

and what is a beckett and riser ext..

the g2 isnt much cheaper then then m1 so i should just get the better one i thnk rather then moding one...right/

ok, so if i buy a skimmer that is external, and a submersable pump i will be able to do it? i really need to get a skimmer this week and i dont understand alot about skimmers because the one i have right now is a proclear 75 on a 44g and it sucks! my tank right now that i need a skimmer for is...

so acrylic....i can not use a submersable pump and external skimmer? what would you do if you were me and cant really fit a skimmer under ur stand. i mean im sure i can fit like a g2 under there but i want a good skimmer...

i want to run a skimmer out side the sump, but have the pump in the sump. my sump is not drilled and i dont have alot of room in the stand. so if i put the pump inside the sump, and the water will go into the skimmer then through the white valve and i can run some flex tube to the wet dry...

i dont want it to hang on, i want to put the pump in my sump and then run another tube on that valve and run it back into the tank... do you think that would work?

ya i have seen that site before but im still not sure how that skimmer works. does the water come out of the gate? at teh bottom?

can that skimmer be used out of sump?
