i havent seen that skimmer either but i have a question bout it. 1. how much was it.. and 2. the white part on the bottom with the valve on it, is that where water will go back into the sump through that after it has been skimmed??

oh ok...i understand what your talking bout with the green line now, but im not too worried about that, the only things im worried about is if it is possible to have the pump in the sump and the skimmer like 2 feet away and use either pvc or flex tube to feed the skimmer, and then have another...

it returns to water too fast. but my overflow is acorner overflow and i think that is 400gph

awesome. thank you zman for your help. what is the overflow run away? is it just a line for the skim cup? i wouldnt run that tothe sump would i? i would run it tothe milk jug. so it would def work right? all it would take is some adjustments with putting stuff under teh skimmer and adjusting...

imkinda confused lol.. so what your saying is a i can run skimmer out side the sump via flex tube and a submersable pump? and then just run another line back into the tank? and put small line in the collection cup to drain into a milkjug?

i was thinking that i could run a pump from the sumpinto the skimmer then where the water drains from the skimmer out the other spout ican run another flex tube into the wet dry part of my sump where it wouldeventually go through the skimmer again. does that make sense?

is it possible to do this? can i just have the pump in the tank and run some flex tube to the skimmer? i have hardly any room to work with under my stand and i dont have a hole in my sump...

you cant put stress coat in your tank cause thats what will happen. i dont think it really helps the fish at all anyway. just use ro water. but your skimmer will def go nuts if you use stress coat. and i have a question for you, i may get a g3, how deep can u keep the water in your sump with...

i just called ....it is gonna be like 400$ for the smallest skimmer and pump they make..that is pretty expensive...i still might do it but why is this so much better then a coralife 220? what will it do that a 220 wont?

i dont no anything about lighting...but will wallmart have everything i need to get the light going? like the metal part that i can clamp on somehting and hang it above myfuge? where do i look for these bulds... is 20w enough????

is the m1 good enough? and can the be used in sump or hob? the g2 is rated for 200g isnt it?
