I hope that's not bubble algae. Just saying...

    Feather duster

Yep, it's a Hawaiian feather duster. If it still has it's crown, it's alive. I wouldn't worry too much about the casing. As long as it's a healthy worm, it will rebuild it. As BG mentioned, the newly formed crown is smaller, so the worm may shrink in size just a bit. You should feed it...

    Added bulkheads to my tank

True. I have to keep an eye on my strainers. Every once in awhile, a few chunks of hair algae will break loose and find their way to the strainers. When I notice my water level in the tank getting higher than normal, I instantly know what's causing it. I try to keep the hair algae thinned out...

Why I continue to use Reef Crystals...

Well, I'm a brain surgeon... AND... an astronaut. I once had to do emergency surgery on a Russian cosmonaut who had a cerebral aneurysm while aboard the International Space Station (ISS). I patched him up, and in no time he was back to performing experiments with monkey feces. What do you think...

    Back to basics- 29g adventure

I know you're looking forward to getting home with the Mrs. and 'lil Seth... err... Cayden. Can't blame you for that... lol! Everyone could use a good sand cleaning every now and then. That's just not the way one would usually go about it, though. If that's the worst thing that happened while...

    Clown choices

Probably best not to mix clowns. You might get lucky if you introduce them while young enough and simultaneously, but it often doesn't work out with different types.

    I want a new fish...

Clowns are hardy fish. PJ Cardinals are the most boring fish I've ever owned. They look strange, but they barely move unless it's time to eat... resembles a plastic fish dangling from a string. Mandarins are one of the hardest fish to keep alive, but with the proper conditions, it can be done...

Siphon break with gravity fed bulkheads? Only if the strainers become totally clogged... lol!

    Added bulkheads to my tank

If you install ball valves on the overflow lines, you can eliminate the gurgling sound. You simply close the valves until the gurgling is gone. It's that simple. It barely changes the flow, but sure makes things a lot quieter. Wow... you got those installed really fast! I didn't even have time...

    Added bulkheads to my tank

You can limit the amount of drainage from the tank by installing elbows into the bulkheads. This will put the inlets closer to the surface, and you can adjust the heigth by tilting the elbows if they'rere too close to the surface.

Clownfish Acting Weird After Moving Coral Beauty Angel

Glad to see it's working out. It may take a little time for things to get back to "normal", since it's been through an ordeal... and having been placed into a new environment. It should adjust fairly quickly now that it's back with it's buddy, and hopefully it'll soon display the glamour of it's...

    New to the Hobby

When I became obsessed, err, interested in the hobby, I mainly focused on educating myself on the basic stuff... which fish would be good tank mates, what I needed to test water for, how to properly set up a tank, etc., but I didn't really think about the down-the-road setup, or even what I...

By the way... I wonder how the topic of this thread is doing? We kind of hijacked this thread, didn't we? Sorry. I hope the HT is doing better. Waiting for an update...

Clownfish Acting Weird After Moving Coral Beauty Angel

I would say move both fish and see if there's a happy reunion. Coral Beauties love to swim, and it sounds like it was encouraging the clownfish to join in. Since the clownfish lost one of it's swim buddies, and all it's other friends are disappearing as well, it's very possible it could be...
