Explain why I should take this seriously?

So this guy objects to "negroes" being on government subsidy, while he grazes his cows for free on federal land. Whew, the hypocrisy of it all!

    The hand sanitizer paradox.

Reef - what you are describing comes from one of the newest concepts in biology - the microbiome. This idea is that a human being is a superorganism consisting of lots of human cells (your body) accompanied by billions of microorganisms all living in a state of cooperation most of the time...

What are the better online stores

We can't post links to other online retailers here. That said, I have bought livestock from this site, and have been very satisfied. They stood behind the warranty the one time there was a problem, but other times the animals were healthy and exactly as described. I always have my livestock...

What is this abnormal coloration on my damsel?

It does sound like a skin infection, probably from his colliding with a rock. If you have a hospital tank you could try to catch him and put him in there and treat with antibiotics, but good luck catching him. Treating with many antibiotics will kill the good bacteria in the tank, that's why a...

Explain why I should take this seriously?

It seems to me that the "freedom" referred to in "It's about the freedom of America," said another of Bundy's sisters, Margaret Houston. "We have to stand up and fight" is about the freedom to graze their herd on my land without paying the same fees that other farmers pay for the same freedom...

From your first post I am guessing that the butterfly and wrasse are keeping the copepod population very low, which means that a member of the dragonet family will have a difficult time finding sufficient food to sustain itself. You had better hope that you can quickly convert your fish to...

What is this abnormal coloration on my damsel?

It is difficult to make out the details - the image is a little out of focus when enlarge it. However, it does look and sound a little like a wound. The fish could have injured itself on the rockwork, or been in a fight. Watch the spot carefully for signs of bacterial or fungal infection.

Questions from an experienced hobbyist (outdated) starting anew

I would get rid of the UV sterilizer. They are only useful when several tanks share a common sump, as in a retail setting. Otherwise they don't do much for a single tank. Also, you don't need (and should avoid) the airstone and air pump. Take the money you save from those changes and get a...

    Just Wondering...

The only background paper I have used on marine tanks was a paper graduated from light blue at the top to dark navy at the bottom. Those seascape backgrounds always seem too busy to me, and ultimately detract from the real centerpiece of the tank - the organisms. The back of my current 220...

How long did you have the fish? They don't usually die quickly in captivity since death is by starvation.

I should also mention that many folks regard a 500 gallon tank as being the minimum size to keep a clown tang happy, and an unhappy clown tank is a fright to behold. Especially if you are another fish in the too-small system.

This stuff seems to perfectly fit the description of "scam". It purports to cure everything with absolutely no published proof, and nowhere is there an ingredient list. Pegasus-if it is effective, why did velvet break out after it "cured" ich? I would expect it to wipe out both in a single...
