The solution depends on where the noise is coming from, and how the overflow and plumbing is set up. Give a better description and we'll have some solutions.

Could you all help me out with something?

    So...how did things work out?

There is really no need for a UV sterilizer, and there are good arguments that using one may be counterproductive. They don't really suppress parasites like ich sufficiently, but can knock out your copepod population, which are small animals that many fish love to pick on (and mandarin...

    Tested Nitrates from store???

With a lion and a niger trigger it isn't surprising that your nitrates are somewhat elevated - these are big, sloppy eaters. Keep up with water changes.

new 200 gallon in the wall setup. have a few questions

justin: Having gone sumpless and sumped over the years, I have to tell you that a sump is just easier all around. Much of your equipment is hidden from sight, maintenance is easier and that means that it gets done more often, leading to better water conditions. I think the most important thing...

HELP need help on feeding and spawning dragonets

You can produce pods in a separate tank, and put them into the dragonette tank. Just google for plans and instructions. It is pretty easy.

    Mandarine Dragonet, enough pods?

Pods are easy to cultivate. You can even do it in a 2 liter soda bottle. Google how, and you will have a continuous supply of pods regardless of how many fish are browsing on them.

    skimmer help

Skimmers require a few days to break in, but yours won't because there is no organic matter in the tank, so the bubbles never stabilize. Turn off the skimmer, cycle the tank, add animals, and in about 6 months start the skimmer and it will go much better.

    First Trial Failed! Help Me!

Wow - rough introduction to the hobby, but normal. Most hobbyists, especially the 17 year old ones, are rightfully eager to get going, and I think that's what happened to you. First, a few questions. How did you cycle the tank? What are your nitrate levels? What/how much do you feed? What...

    Upgrade to a 150

If you conserve your live rock and filter material you should have no problem. While the tank is larger, the bioload isn't expanding very much for the time being, so whatever was sufficient for the 80 will be ok for the 130. Still, given that the fates seem to hate salt water fishkeepers, I...

Lion Fish new to tank, still not eating????

In a tank with two aggressive fish like you have, I think a larger aggressive wrasse might do well. Take a look at the Thalassoma wrasse - beautiful, and can stand up for themselves. Just don't get a small one, and be sure to redo some rockwork so the trigger won't be so aggressive to the...

How to add color to a FOWLR tank

I personally have always favored a neutral background (black painted rear glass, coral skeletons covered in coralline algae, and then adding color with brightly colored fish. Right now I have an adult red velvet fairy wrasse and a yellow wrasse that could burn afterimages into your eyes...

    Upgrade to a 150

Normally I would be concerned about all of those clownfish, but you have a great opportunity here. By moving everyone into a new tank with new aquascaping nobody has a territory, so there will be less aggression (no guarantees, but fingers crossed). You will probably find that the 150 gallon...
