    Evolution vs. Intelligent Design

If you watch the history channel, there is a show called ancient aliens.  I dont think every episode is 100% true, but it does raise some questions.  Like all of the giant pyramids around the world. Who built them?  I'll say this much, it wasnt 10,000 slaves with ropes pulling 100 ton blocks 3...

    Evolution vs. Intelligent Design

What about the hole in the fossil record? There is no hole (singular), there are many. Every time a transitional form is found it creates two (smaller) gaps in the record so the number of gaps keeps increasing the more fossils that are found.

    Evolution vs. Intelligent Design

IN our system of government there is no limit on what an individual can believe, so evolution, intelligent design (ID) or creationism are on equal footing there. The greater concern is that non-scientific beliefs such as ID and creationism are attempting to infiltrate science classrooms in many...

Cycle question... And a couple others

I second Flower's post. A quarantine system is more important than lights,UV sterilizers and all of that other stuff they sell us. Without a quarantine tank it is only a matter of time (and usually not much time) before your dt gets wiped out by ich or some other parasite or bacterial...

    How I Finally Eliminated Aptasia

Update: As of this morning most of my lps are coming back, although they are still a little shrunken. The candy cane is completely gone, as are 90% of my zoas. The ricordea are all reduced to about 1/4 normal, and the Kenya Tree continues to flourish. Still no sign of aptasia though. Given...

How long till I can add this fish to an aquarium?

I know what you mean. Some day I'll build my 2000 gallon reef and stock it with Moorish Idols, but until then its Heniochus for me.

    How I Finally Eliminated Aptasia

I returned to my office after being out for 2 hours, to find a flooded rug, and the sump under my 40 gal reef filled. It was filled with RODI from my ATO, which had stuck in the on position until the timer cut it off. However, it pumped enough RODI to reduce the specific gravity to 1.019...

My wife has totally fallen in love with the reef safe wrasse. We have a beautiful 4" male red velvet fairy wrasse in our 220 gal FOWLR, and she would like to add other reef safe wrasse, such as a mystery wrasse. Will males of the various species of these fairy, flasher, etc. wrasse get along...

    125gal FOWLR set up ?'s

You are planning an aggressive tank, and your planned stock list looks pretty good. I might worry a little about a trigger with a volitans - sometimes the triggers pick on the fins of the lion, nipping them severely. That said, many years ago I had a niger trigger and a volitans in a 55 gal...
