    Which is better?

Which runs cooler T5 or PC? I know neither compares to the heat generated by a Halide bulb. Having to run a chiller would increase your energy comsumption quite a bit which is most likely with MH.

    What bird is this?

Another vote for turkey vulture. I've seen quite a few of them growing up in NJ (probibly looking for Jimmy Hoffa's body.) Still see many here in VA. I think they may be found living in most of the lower 48 states.

has anyone heard of this disease

Here's the link to the info on the CDC website. According to them it's a fungal infection that can be contracted from handling thorny plants, sphagnum moss, or baled hay. http://www.cdc.gov/nczved/dfbmd/dise...chosis_gi.html

    Which tank would you do?

I'd go with a much smaller tank, epsecially since you live on the 3rd floor. Just think about the legal issues if the tank breaks or the floor gives leaving the tank in your downstairs neighbors unit. I have a 90 gal that i was going to put on the main floor but decide it was better in the...

    New project, need input

You may also want to look into building a closed loop with an external pump. This way you'll have more water movement and less pumps to generate heat in the tank. I've been looking into doing the same thing for my 90 gal when i get the wall framed so i can get it set up.
