Do a search on Typhoon III or airwater ice. Good units that alot of folks have and are priced well too. Plus their support is very good. I had one in my old house and bought a new one for my current house this past year. never any trouble with either unit.

Did the diatom bloom occur after upgrading the lighting? If nothing else has changed I would think that it's from the upgrade. You may want to cut the lights back a little then bring them back up to the 9hrs. slowly giving the tank a chance to adjust. Adding to the cuc wouldn't hurt either.

Duck tape may work.

I was in Christensburg today and stopped at Zoo Aquatic. They are under new management and will be expanding their SW section. They have a grand reopening planned for 3/22.

I wonder if you can loop the drain back to the water in connection with a wye connector to mix with the incomming water from your faucet. Just food for thought.

Once the camera battery charges, I post picts of the additions from Fridays order. 2 percs, gramma, cbs, and toadstool and some hermits and snails. all aree doing great so far.

I sometimes run my drain line in to the washer to get a load of laundry started. I've also been thinking of a way to run it outside to a storage contain to use for watering the plants.

Our little SW VA group is growing... I stopped in the PAWS petshop in Lynchburg yestedday. They have decent size sw section in their fish room, but seem to be way over priced. $29.00 for a false perc and $22.00 for a royal gramma. It was nice to look.

Just got one on Friday as part of my SWF order. Figured i try one again as the one a had acouple of yrs ago lasted for a week. Since it was 1.99 on special was worth trying again. I guess I'll see how my luck goes this time. So far he seems happy in the QT.

The lake is great. Just haven't found a good LFS in the 2 yrs that i've been here. Miss the one I use to frequent when I lived in NJ. At least we have SWF to order from.
