    another new guy

welcome to the boards!! there are many choices you can make and now is the best time. If I were you i would look into some LED lights because IMO they look really nice, Metal Halides would be good too. The bigger the tank, the more money, but the happier you will be with your tank. And just a...

if it is chaeto, the picture from above then it is good. They consume nitrates, phosphates, and are good for lots of small critters. I have some in my display tank and the only downfall is that sometimes i get little pieces stuck on filter intakes

    Salt! Red Sea Coral Pro?

Okay. On the box of Red Sea Coral pro, it says that it is specifically made for RO water. I use bottled Distilled water from the supermarket that is purified by steam distillation, filtered and ozonated. Would this be good to use with it?

    Salt! Red Sea Coral Pro?

okay good, i was hoping not to add more to the dosing. I am currently just staring a reef tank. I have had FOWLR for a year and just bought some small zoos and a kenya tree... My goal is to probably have softies; like zoos, mushrooms, polyps, frogspawn, GSP, and stuff like that. I am thinking...

    Salt! Red Sea Coral Pro?

What salts do you guys think have the highest calcium magnesium and alkalinity levels? I'm trying to do as least dosing as I can, and a lot of those numbers seem hard to believe according to numbers that people have posted.

    Salt! Red Sea Coral Pro?

this list is really handy... I like the numbers of Red sea coral pro, but calcium seems high... What I was thinking is that, as corals consume alk and calcium, would'nt i want those slightly higher numbers so that it stays stable?
