I think both bb and sand have there good and bad qualities. I think though if you are going to go BB, you shouldn't have any sand in your system. The idea is that you can run a lot of flow and skim out all the junk. If you have a fuge/sump with sand in it, you defeat the purpose of BB. JMHO AJ

Thanks. I worked at trying to get the right piece for the right spot. There are pros and cons to having a 30 gal tank, but one good thing is that you can buy rock one piece at a time and not spend too much money. I hope it looks good once I add corals. Thanks again for the comment, AJ

that is what I was thinking too. I have right now over 1000 gph in my display already. I think that is plenty, but I want to add some random flow. I think I will go with the oeansmotions. It is easier to find a place for a pvc pipe in my tank anyway. Adding more powerheads is hard to do.

All I can say is at least it is a tough coral. Imagine paying that much for an anenome or something that you could put in your tank and have bight the dust the next day.
