    thanks...I have a big pump maxijet pump in my tank, thats where my clowns choose to hang out, is there a chance that when they lay their eggs they get sucked up into the pump. I'm really thinking about breeding clownfish and I think I might be doing something thats causing them not to lay eggs...

    It depends...what I've found out from my experience is if you keep your fish well fed then they wont bother chasing your shrimp.

    A protien skimmer is the essential part of filtration but I wouldn't rely on just that. Many people do. I would also get a sump if you could and have a refugium too to cut down nitrates.

    I'm not sure but I read about this with octopus and starfish that if they die while they were on the glass they will stay attached unless you pull them off. Don't move it until someone else replies to this thread and knows a lot about sea cucumbers.

    I've never encountered this...but I might be able to narrow it down for you. How long has it been up? How big is it? How many fish? and how long did it cycle for? do you have Live Sand? I'm guessing it could be stirred up sand because my jawfish did this and when I came home it looked like...

    I have a baby hippo tang, he hides and everynow and then he will get small scratches. Yours looks more to be something stress related. If it is injury your doing the right thing but supplementing the food. Just make sure your trates,trites and ammonia are all down low. Hope this helps. Jimmy

    As long as you change your bulbs I would say good idea. I have one and I have never had any diseases in my tank. It's been up for a bit under a year.
