    Is This Right???

You need time for your tank to cycle. I only did a water change after my ammonia and nitrite were at 0 and i saw a spike in my nitrate. I did 20% water changes to lower my nitrates to 0. Thats what i was told and thats what worked for me. I was told doing water changes during your cycle will...

    Fish Tatoos?

How could anyone properly restrain a fish and tattoo it? They have to be hurting it in some way. Thats just wrong. I agree, some people will do anything for money.

    time/lights??

You could heat the water up too much leaving the lights on too long. Especially if you have MH. Main concern would definitely be bad algae blooms.

Time to add to my cleanup crew

I would get 10-12 more little turbos and about 15-20 nassarius snails. They are great for the sandbed. I personally dont like hermits. They just killed off half my snail population. Even though you dont have much algae, you might start developing more as the tank matures. Im not sure about the...

    Ammonia and Nitrate PPM question

Actually ammonia and nitrite should be undetectable. Having slight reading of nitrate is ok. Just like bang guy said if its above 80ppm then there could be a problem.
