    turnover rate has alot to do with rockwork to. My tank has a pretty open look so I have about 900 GPH on my 125 gallon reef. If I had a tank with lots of rock then I would want more water flow to move water through any possible dead spots.

    If the rock you put in was cured already then you may not have a cycle. Nothing says that a tank has to have a noticable cycle. A cycle is caused by die off and the ammonia that it produces. If the rock already is saturated with bacteria then it will consume the ammonia from day one and you...

    her is a couple pics of my 125 gallon reef. I moved this whole system from Seattle area to northern California and then 3 months later to central California and only lost one brittle star.
