    tangs......

It's common for people to set up a tank, realize they want a bigger one, and upgrade within a short period of time. It seems odd to me that you plan to set up a 55 for a short period of time and plan to be upgrading. Why not just start with the larger tank?

    Leopard OS

I haven't gotten it yet either, though I want to. I might be getting a new computer soon so it would be a waste. The new features sound awesome (Time Machine and Spaces, particularly). I hear there are some problems with wireless and security. Expect an update within a week that will address...

    cure ich w/o qt

You could set up a QT for like... 30 bucks. That's probably your cheapest method. You can take your LR and inverts out, put them in a tub with a heater and powerhead and do hypo on your DT, if you have a refractometer that is (like 40 bucks). I don't recommend trying reef safe treatments to...

    ? about ich

Generally that lurking thing is correct. Most tanks have ick, but fish can remain healthy in those tanks unless a stressful situation permits an infection. I hear a lot about really healthy tanks that experienced a sudden temp drop (broken heater or something) and that triggered an outbreak.

Is there any worry that the SPS may sting adjacent rics?

    sps/ricordias living in harmony...so far

HOLY COW or you could give me some of your rics That's a beautifully stocked nano. I've got no idea about the toxins, but nice tank.

    Question about clown pairing.

I had a young pair of tomatoes that did this when first introduced for maybe 2 days. After that I never saw it.

    Cheap 2.5g Diy fuge pics

Ok, I think I understand better how this is working after examining your picture a bit more. How is the pipe that goes into your filter set up? It looks like it extends deep into the tank. From what level does the water get drawn?

    Cheap 2.5g Diy fuge pics

Well, I can't tell exactly how you've got the intake pump set up. If it's in some sort of overflow container in the DT, sweet. If not, then when the siphon on the return breaks, the pump will continue pumping water into the fuge but the siphon will no longer be returning water. You can see...

    Macro in a filter?

Why not on a larger tank. The primary function isn't to be a fuge, more to allow the chaeto to filter the water a bit and take care of some nitrates.

    Macro in a filter?

So I had this idea: I don't have a sump, so I figured a way to get water flowing through some chaeto would be to replace filter cartridges in a simple HOB mechanical filter with chaeto. Has anyone tried this? I figure it's gonna need light, so I took of the top and put a 15 watt fluorescent...

    Least light intensive clam

Regarding all the arguing over this question... I think it's a good question. That sounds like a ton of wattage to me and I wouldn't know that those lights would be considered insufficient by some. If you don't like a question, don't respond to it.

They'll be fine, especially in that big of a tank. The CB can be aggressive but they will avoid each other.

    GPS or WSP frags?

Here are two of the frags. The small one on the left has only 2-3 mature polyps, but several small ones that have sprung up since the fragging. The larger one on the right is about 3x 2.5 inches, I'd guess around 30-40 mature polyps with many immature ones about the periphery. Both are on...
