KILL To KILL A MANTIS SHRIMP!!!

You mentioned he looks nice. Any chance of a pic. I've heard the peacock mantis are stunning and rare, ie they go for 30-40 dollars online. Some times more. Obviously the peacock is more multi colored than the common type.

You like pics? How about a video? :)

Your koran is changing. It's more evident in the face from the video. Hate to tell you though, i hope you are getting a bigger tank soon, you've got some one day HUGE fish. You're going to need a 6 foot long tank for the koran. Open a spiral notebook and thats how big he's going to get...

KILL To KILL A MANTIS SHRIMP!!!

I'll second that. See if you can line up a home for him. Nice 2 gallon tank species only. There are alot of people who will take him. Find the rock he's in take it out of the tank and run some water over the rock till he comes out. I heard seltzer water works... Start with some salt and...

something weird is in my tank

Definitely a bristle worm. But he looks like one of those thats going to get nasty one day. Evidenced by the type of bristles he has and his coloration. Keep an eye on him. He's going to get frikin huge one day :) For now he's harmless and a good cleaner.

    What did i exactly do??

Ahhh fluid mechanics. Has to do with the flow through the pipe, length of the pipe, etc. etc. You can factor in the joints, pipe size, and on and on. All has to do with the flow of the water. As far as noise. It's the pvc pipes. May want to use a flex hose to go from the pump to the pvc. I...

    Achilles Tang

For one i'd say a 150. A 125 may suffice so long as he has swimming room and there aren't alot of rocks in the way. These guys pace constantly especially when stressed because of a smaller tank.

    ID please

:) Well don't jump the gun like that. It is possible they sold them to you knowing that but the mexican turbos are the better snail in general, so maybe it was like that. Whoever sold them to you obviously didn't now how much better they are.

    lion and queen angel together?

The queen may. They are a little more boisterous. The tank is to small for a queen anyways at adulthood.... Open a spiral notebook and thats how big they get eventually. The lion on the other hand is much more suited to a tank that size...

    ID please

Just that. Mexican turbos are efficient algae eaters and NEED ALOT of algae to survive. I just attribute that to my early experience and also working in several lfs. I have starved a few of them myself. They will eat the crap out of hair algae. I have a single one in my 20 right now. He...

    can this harm my fish?

I have to respectfully disagree with stacy a little. Stirring up the dirt on the rock is a good way of insuring detritus doesn't build up in it. It doesn't have to be done daily but should be done whenever you do a water change. Ideally that should be once a month.... It won't hurt the fish...

    strange snail behavior

No, No, and No. He was fine where he was. Pulling them off won't hurt them so long as you don't JERK them off the surface they are on. Trick is to touch their skin with a finger. If you lightly do this they will retract pretty quick. I have snails that crawled into my skimmer bubbleing...

Just found my loud tick noise in my tank?

Your best bet for a pair with him is any kind of watchman goby. They come in a few varieties, orange, pink, blue, etc. The watchmans get about 5 inches max. Just make sure the two of them get food. They will be on the bottom of your tank and may not see as much as the free swiming fish :)
