    I have a 46 gallon and it costs me around $28 a month to run it. Id say for a 125gallon setup with no fish or anything, you looking at around $2000-$2500. Depending what you buy. I have close to $2500 in my 46 gallon.

    for fun how many of us test for these

    I test for salinity, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, temp, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, alkalinity, ph. I dont even test for ammonia and nitrite anymore. Just nitrate. Only time i test for ammonia is if i add a fish to see if it has any effect on my bioload.
