How much more LR should I add?

It does not take very much rock for biological filration so it totally is up to you and the look that you are going for. I personally like the open look with less rock and more swimming room, but others like to pack their tanks full of rock and give their fish no swimming room.

Squidd, Bang, or anyone who can knows

If you use RO/DI water then you may need a pinch or so of buffer to bring up PH and alkalinity in your mix up water. When a salt mix like IO says that it mixes to the proper levels it usually means that it mixes to the right levels in tap water since up until recently most people used tap water...

    Cheapest way to raise calcium???

Kent marine is really watered down in all of it's liquid suppliments. Try switching to the Seachem Reef Complete. It is a whole lot more concentrated and also suppliments other elements.

Your tank is pretty new right ( I haven't read any other threads ). If it is young then just let it find it's niche and maintain regular water changes. Saltwater systems are far from stable at first and it will take some time before your tank becomes anywhere near consistant so don't be to...

looking into protien skimmers for a 45g

You could put on a skimmer at any time. I like the seaclones. Seaclones are not the best nor the most expensive either so you do get what you pay for.

    Opinions on undergravel filters

people used UGF for many years with great success. My dad had one in a 55 when I was a kid. They are not used very much these days because they do need torn down and reinstalled every so often and the DSB is the rage today.

    125 gallon seattle area

Well I am moving back to California in a few months and am looking to sell my 125 gallon tank stand and canopy. I don't trust the movers. As many of you know I built the stand and canopy myself out of Oak. I am taking the reef and filters with me so it is only the tank stand and canopy. I...
