    Creepy Stuff in the Filter

Live rock is a wonderful and amazing thing. If you get a magnifying glass you'll find that these new sponges aren't the only things that "just appeared". If you look enough you'll probably see hydroid jellyfish on the glass.

hard to find info on saltwater hermit crabs...

Most likely molting and finding a new shell. Inverts that molt will go into hiding after they molt until their new outer shell hardens. When emerald crabs molt you will probably find completely intact emeralds and the only way to really tell sometimes is by smelling them. No smell, molt. Bad...

    Lil help here please

Octopuses are very rewarding and far from impossible to keep, but as others have stated, get some experience first. Not a creature for someone brand new to the hobby. The main thing harder about them is making sure the lid is secure. Once they figure out where the top opens and closes, they will...

    Blue Linckia

Most starfish ailments are due to issues with acclimation. On a side note, changing to new filtration might have caused a cycle in your tank. I'm always skeptical about 0 nitrates.

    I cant stand hippies.

I hate bums. I don't mind hippies. Yes, Treehuggers qualify as hippies. I'm pretty much a hippie. I would rather play my guitar than go to work. I'd rather just let my hair grow. I'd rather see a forest than endless concrete and condominiums. I'd rather see a cow grazing in a pasture than being...

    Feeding the octopus

My Octopus briareus "Kalypso". Offering her a clam. This is what a typical feeding session is like. I've had her since January 18, 2008 and she was approximately 10 weeks old. She was this big:
