I think my anemone ate one of my Ocellaris clowns

I ordered this anemone from an online site and the guy told me that this anemone will host my clownfish. He called it a Haitian pink tip. Well both my clown fish were in the tank at 6 this morning but not at 4 when I got home. There is no way out for it to jump out.

Help! Dusty tank & low Ph

Actually trains are my first hobby. My trains are worth almost as much as my house. LOL I was going to set up an aquarium in the basement but then I figured that would be way too risky with all my trains displayed on the walls. Saltwater and metal trains don't go together too well. :)

    Sea Clone Skimmer

I got a Jebo 2003 that came with a 528GPH pump for less than 50 bucks delivered. I got it from that unmentionable auction sight. Actually it was 25+13 for shipping. So far it is working great.

 I will harvest them eventually. Right now, I just take the section of plant that the pods are in and shake it in the water in my main tank.

$7.00 for a lamp? Are you sure its flourescent and not incandescent? I paid $27.00 for my lamp. I just have regular flourescents on my tank. I will upgrade eventually. The only coral I have is Xenia. I have it on a shelf which is up near the top of the tank. About 3" from the surface. By the...

    I need a chemist...

Right now the bacteria in your tank are multiplying by the thousands to keep up with the ammonia in your tank. As those bacteria consume the ammonia and turn it into nitrate, other bacteria will take over and turn the nitrite into nitrate. If you do a water change now, you will be throwing away...

    What's A Sump??

The size of your sump is up to you but the bigger your sump is, the bigger your system will be. One of the reasons for adding a sump is to make your water system bigger.

You shouldn't be doing a water change while your tank is cycling.

    What's A Sump??

The bulkhead is an inch and a half from the top of the tank. The lock ring on the bulk head barely touches the trim of the tank. The tank is glass and I had it drilled at the LFS. It only cost 20.00 to have it drilled and it was worth it. If they break it, I get a new tank. If I broke it, time...

    Water Circulation

It's kind of a hit or miss thing. You want to adjust the water so that nothing stays still. You don't want any waste to build up anywherethat could cause pollution in your tank. It doesnt really matter as long as all your water is constantly moving.

    Hospital tank and cycle

You can buy a liquid bacteria and put that in there. Do you have a piece of live rock that you can place in the QT tank? How about scooping up some of your substrate, place it in a filter bag or stocking and then put it in your filter?

    Protein skimmer

The skimmer needs time to be broken in. You will also have to make adjustments to your water and air flow inputs. You want the bubbles to just barely be breaking at the top of the center column. If you have it adjusted to high, you'll end of with nothing but water in a short time. Just like...

Top 10 reasons a Saltwater tank is better than TV

Wait until he wants to name your clownfish Nemo, and your Hippo tang Dorie(finding Nemo) and then name your starfish Patrick and your crab Mr. Crabs(SpongeBob Squarepants). I'm starting to think that maybe my aquarium is the television. :notsure:
