Your options have pretty much been said already... an overflow box is gonna cost you more than the tank would. I would say you are deff. better off drilling it or finding a glass shop that will drill it for you. I drilled my 20 and its really not that hard if you have a dremel tool and diamond...

Need a few more details of how your overflows/outlets are set up, but do a search on the SVF forums or on google for Durso standpipe. This design, when tuned properly, will eliminate nearly all noise from your overflow.
