Maybe it is, just doesn't look "spiny" like in the pictures I found. This looks more like a hair algae, not thorny or stick like.

What controller do you have? I like the idea of it paging you when something goes wrong. Didn't we talk about this in another thread?

I saw a Hawaiin Dragon Eel on this site...on sale for $800. Naso Tangs are awesome and pretty $$$, also just about any of the Adult Angels are pricy and very beautiful. Don't forget about coral, those little clownfishes clinging to the anenomes they've hosted while laying on the floor...gasping...

I know I'll get flamed for this but I have a Kole Tang in my 75 and he won't eat Nori, Lettuce or that red algae in my other thread titled "Please Identify Yourself". What gives? I can't seem to find a fresh veggie that he will eat. My chocolate chip starfish eats the Nori though. Go figure.

I did some research on Red Gracilaria Macro Algae, I don't think this is what is in my tank. My chocolate chip starfish has since decided to eat some of this and it turned orange then white. Anyone else have an idea what it might be?

I personally use a Euro-reef and love it. They are high end and make skimmers for very large systems. I have also heard very good things about AquaC skimmers. Lifereef makes custom skimmers to your personal specs if you want to go that route. Hope this helps.

I am adding chaeto to my sump in a fuge chamber. Does it need LR and LS to grow/thrive or can it sit by itself with just lighting and flow? Thanks

Would it be possible to propagate (sp) this type of algae?

What is the recommended lighting for chaeto? Can I just use a 100 watt "plant growth" bulb from Home Depot?
