    Pictures from Me

Hello Mossad. Looks very nice. I'm going to have to borrow a digital camara and post some updated pics. I have the same size tank but the only thing that I'm worried about is your mandarin. Do you have a refugium? Even with over 65lbs of lr in my tank and a deep sand bed my pod population...

if i got anyone upset over my feelins i am sorry

If the news is so dark and depressing then why do so many people read and watch it. The majority of people want to read and see these stories. They aren't interested in cnn. or the ny times. You won't see most of these people at the non-fiction section of the library or book stores. That's...

I've heard Red/ Orange tree sponges rarely survive, but......

I forgot to add that I also had red and orange sponges that came attached as hitchers but didn't survive because of their exposure to air. This was early in the hobby so I had no idea as to their care.

I've heard Red/ Orange tree sponges rarely survive, but......

I have a yellow sponge that has survived for over six months in my tank. I was very careful with the transfer, making sure not to expose it to air. The only problems with it has been keeping the algae under control. It has grown into a small cave in my lr under the shade. I'm not sure if it...

if i got anyone upset over my feelins i am sorry

I have to laugh when people criticize or put down the media in the U.S. I've traveled a bit and seen what they consider "news" in other countries. Sometimes ranging from 2-3 channels with the owners of the stations being the state. As far as the media replaying the same thing, it's the same as...

    swf.com order arrival

This is my second time ordering and let me just say it was even better than the first. On Sunday my wife found my favorite fish(flame hawk)lying on the living room floor (rip)! Needless to say I was very upset. Since we're close to broke(Christmass gifts) it took some convincing to make an...

OT: getting to know the people behind the posts

Thanks hairtrigger. Negril was beautiful and serene. We're looking forward to going back in the future. Unfortunately I don't swim or dive because of a phobia but at least I can enjoy a little bit of the ocean from my fish tank.

any one heard of this shrimp???

UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE! Never again!!! My hawkfish was extremely happy with the addition of these small tasty shrimp and he's been chasing them around the tank for the last couple of days. Unfortunately I imagine one was too fast for him. My wife found him on the floor this morning stiff as a...

    what eats hair algae?

I am battling hair algae in my tank right now and they only scavengers that are helping are my long black spined urchins. Whenver they come across a patch of hair algae they devour it. Hopefully they can keep it under control until I order me a couple of sallys and emeralds.

any one heard of this shrimp???

For anyone who is interested I finally got those grass shrimps today. I received 25 of them(some measuring 1/4 inch-1/2 inch). Unfortunately my fish had a feeding frenzy and there were only half a dozen survivors. They remind me of extremely small pepermints. A good alternative for feeding...

    Only 1 Question

I've had it for over 4 months. At first it was losing some polyps even though I was feeding it regularly. I've since moved it into a shaded are with medium current and it's now doing much better.

    Surprises in live rock

I've had starfish, polyps, urchins, crabs(emerald), dusters, a small toadstool, and a baby open brain(only lasted 2 months). Getting lr was the most exciting thing when building my tank. I can't wait to get another just so I can order tons of lr. The weirdest hitcher I saw someone get was a...
