    Not sure how big I can go with refuge?

    I have a cube tank 48"X48" and a refugium that is 45" long. This refugium is falling apart after 6 months and I'm going to order a new one from a different source. My question is how big can I go? I set the stand around the refugium then set the tank. I'm sure I will have to break this one...

    565 plumbing issue

    Thanks for the advice. I do have and extra 5 holes(3 1" and 2 1 1/2") drilled in the bottom to handle any flow issues that may come up. I figured it is best to be pprepard. This will be a reef and l prepfer to have a lot of flow with no PH. I'm running 1 closed loop with 2 of the 5 available...

    It appears that way... I had the stand made with an open back.so they make it with 1 1/2 plywood sheets on the top, bottom and 3 sides. Since I did not make the stand and if it fails, it is covered.hahaha Ths stand weighs 600lbs. the tank 1240lbs

    Will the Barracuda pump supply sufficient water movement based on the way I'm ready to plumb? The inlet and outlet is 1 1/2. I run 1 1/2 till the "T" then break off and attach to 1" barbs. Thank you .

    This weekend, I made my own durso pipes but not sure how big to make the whole on the top? I'm sure it makes a difference. The pipes will be 3' tall and they are made with a 1 1/2" T, Elbow and a cap. Thanks for your help.

    Great thanks for the advice. It did just start, so I have a good feeling he can fight it off. I did notice that my tank's ph is 14 and I have low level of magnesium. Thanks again for the help.

    Cleaner shrimp not cleaning :(

    i had one skunk in the tank and he was LAZY. I have large tangs that would pull up for service and he just turned away. Then, I added a few more and then he had a different approach. They all started cleaning like they were supposted to. Try adding a few more?

    No i do not have a cycled QT tank. I have had him for about 2 months. He was doing fine until yesterday. It is only on the top fins in a very small area. This is in a 190. Any suggestions on how to treat?

    Opinions on which skimmer to get?

    Hey Trippkid, I have 3 Aqua C's EV 180, 240 and the latest 1000. All work GREAT! The best part, you do not have to keep adjusting and messing with it. Good luck!
