from what i understand clowns should be kept with its own kind only. They will fight inter species.

I believe they will, I had some a few years ago and they did. I just got a new pair this week, and after I have upgraded my lights, I will get a BTA for them.

If I were you I would take it out to be on the safe side. The last thing you want is a $20 heater killing $100+ of fish corals and inverts. JMO.

I do not believe that is true. If the clown fish were to get stung then it would also be paralyzed like any other fish, and then eaten. The reason that clowns and some damsels do not get stung is because of the slime coat the poses. When the anemone touches the clown it thinks it is touching...
