    Lawnmower blenny---your experience?

I wouldn't mix the two again. I had a goldenheaded sleeper goby in my 100gal before I put my LMB in. The sleeper had been flourishing, it had taken to frozen food, tortured various areas of the sandbed for burrows and had grown about 3" in the time I'd had it in my tank. I had the lawnmower...

    Top This Slothy!

!! My queen conch took a stroll through one of the mushroom rocks sometime today and did the same thing! The mushroom fell off however when she got into a tussle with one of the larger hermit crabs over who has the rights to that shell. I've been noticing them propogating awfully regularly...

    This weekends 6-pac...

Bang Guy: Me too! (and NP, it's fun!) This one is *huge* (Well, for a clown goby LOL) I'm not quite sure why...it keeps growing though. Not that I mind, but I'm used to them staying smaller. I hope no one minds one more (to make it half a sixpack :D) I'd like to introduce you all to my...

    Are Gobies Poisonous?

That's weird...everything I've ever read/heard about hawkfish is that they pick on any fish about their size. The only thing meaner...funnily enough are pseudochromis. Once the hawkfish took out the goby, the pseudochromis probably decided it was the hawks turn.

    marine betta

I don't see a problem with it, like OYT said, they're not extremely active. In my personal experience with mine, they don't grow very fast either. If you get one, make sure it has already taken to frozen food unless you want to fight a long, stubborn battle with it :D Or perhaps mine is just...

    55gal

Come now, an expert should *know* this! They're all probably avoiding telling you that your boxfish gets 18" long because you've already made it perfectly obvious that you don't give half a damn about your fish. Or maybe they're worried that if they tell you that your trigger may pose a threat...

    would this work?????

That's a pretty boy you've got :D I keep trying to get a picture of mine, but she's a bit shy. I could get one in the morning since she sleeps at the front of the tank, but her color is all mottled in the am.

    Fish ID! Angel?

They eat them :x Well, not all of them, but they'll snack on LPS's, softies and macroalgaes. Beautiful fish btw :D

No one knows everything about saltwater :D Some of us have been in it for years and still have questions.

    mystery spill

Well, maybe I would, had it been *I* who had left the RO unit running on the tank :x

    mystery spill

Sounds like a routine inspection by the tang police! (I've heard they've started randomly sacking houses looking for tang abuse *wiggles eyebrows*) They kicked over your trash can as a warning :D Seriously, I know how you feel  part of my aquarium display room (aka my living room with...

Weird red round worm HELP IDENTIFY PLEASE

The reason no one is responding is that no one knows (from your description) what it is. That's the horrible thing about wondering what something is and not having pictures of it. No one wants to read a post full of "I don't know."s and "No idea."s yaknow? I think Rye responded because he felt...

    Fishing for a Mantis

Twinspot Maori wrasses will eat them. They're pretty and only get around 6". But they also eat snails and some starfish. Try it again tonight...but this time, feed your shrimp and crabs first :D

    little white critters w/whiskers help

Sixline wrasse :D But I don't care for hawkfish. Pretty, but mean. Shrimp and small fish eaters. I'm not sure that they eat flatworms anyway...

    Flame Scallop

It's moving itself to where it likes it best...best light, water current, etc. Be careful moving it, you might damage the foot...and then it won't even last the 6 months. I've had one in my tank for a while, 8-9 months or so...and I've never seen it eating pods.

    Lawnmower blenny---your experience?

Mine it pretty big, around 4-4.5 inches and at first, it scared everything it swam by. It wasn't really being aggressive, it was just swimming. Their style of swimming makes such a commotion in the water and they're so fast that I think the other fish are just jumpy around them :D Mine sits on...

    How dumb are snails ?.....

It depends on the snails :D Now I admit, I have some irritating snails. They've gotten massive, so everytime they crawl under anything that isn't glued down, it tumbles. They also latch onto my hermit crabs...of course trapping the poor hermits. I think the snails get a bit bored. For some...
