I have three persc in a 55. What I've read suggests that the dominate one will become the female and the other 2 will become males. This is aactually ok and they should do fine. In your case I agree that different type percs/clowns w/b a problem if not now sooner or later.

150 will keep him for a while. Agree will need something larger to keep it through adulthood.

o- knowing fish is not a stocking guide. it's the bare essential of knowledge which allows you to adjust the inch/gallon guide. another suggested guide w/b helpful.

I've decided to take the chance with the critters because my main objective is to save the fish and I think this is less stressful and less risky. Unfortunately there is no easy way out of this. I'm also putting my UV back on.

I have refractor to measure salintiy. Since leaving the fish in display 125g is preferred and I believe less stressful on the fish, the only issue is the live sand(L/S) in the tank. If I remove the L/R , snails, crabs into the Q tanks, will the live sand and it's critters die off if I do hypo...

inch/gallon is not an exact calculation but it is a guide which I have used within reason with good success. If you have a better method please share it so we can all benefit. This hobby is not an exact science. I'll stick to my opinion that it's best to add one and not both. JWT- Hey buddy...

There w/b a mini cycle. If fish will be kept in alterantive quarters, then let the tank complete it's cycle which shouldn't take long. If fish are going to be in the new tank, then keep test kits handy and control mini cycle with water changes. Good luck.

Nothing on s/w fish but since I've bought so much from the store, they do honor if something happens w/in a reasonable time.

I agree you wouls lose that bet. It's the other way around....fish will live much longer in natural environment then in captive quarters. There is significant documentation done by tagging and observation by many biologists...just look it up on the internet. Seek and you shall find.
