    Coral Beauty

My experience with coral beauty's has been great. I've never experienced any problems with them eating. I feed nori, brine, mysis, plankton, spectrum pellets, all soaked in selcon or zoe or garlic( I alternate daily). Good luck.

    Is it ok?

I'm confused...are there fish in the tank currently? If not as I suspect then don't do anything to try to get the amonia down. Let the tank re-cycle natuarally.Since you added live rock , it triggered a cycle which has to run it's course. Good luck.

    More new tank fish ?'s

Congrats on the new set up. As you already stated, a 46 is not huge for this hobby so you are right in being careful about stocking. In my opinion even a dwarf lion may not be a good match for the 46 but there are plenty of other very colorful and interesting fish you can choose. A pair of...

    Black Tang (Longnose Sailfin Tang)

The balck tang is an awasome looking fish. It is in the same family as YT and PT . Thus it is very risky to put them together. The size difference will eventually work against the PT and I believe he will be harrassed to his demise. I understand the dilema and the desire to try it so go...

    Massive Power Outage....

The outage brought back memories. I commute into the downtown area of NYC everyday and was at the scene of the WTC when the first plane hit. Last night was not too bad compaed to that experience. I was lucky in that power was uninterrupted at my home in NJ. All is good on the home front.

    Queen or Emperor

While there is a chance of success w/ two large angels in a 150g, this will become more problematic as they grow into adults. I personally would avoid. AS far as preference , I like the emperor angel over the Queen. A 3-4 inch juvi is about right. I feed my adult EA a very varied diet all...

    off topic

I have paused and said a prayer for you and you family. My wife has inoperable stage 4 lung cancer and she's only 41 and never smoked. I know what you are going thru. It's really tough. God bless.

    feeding

Tank size? Filtration? L/R? L/S? clean up crew? I don't beleive in starving fish especially when small and they need proper nutrition to grow into healthy adults. I would feed a variety of foods everyday. Small amounts of course. This assumes all above mentioned is adequate.

    fish stocking list

Regal will outgrow the 75 for sure. Would go w/ a Kole, purple or yellow tang. My suggestion is that you pick either the trigger or the tang as the centerpiece of your tank and build around him w/ compatible mates. The trigger and tang will always compete for food and at full adult size can feel...

    hobby?

This board is pretty addictive but the actual act of keeping s/w aquariums is a positive hobby for me. A pretty pasionate one I admit but a hobby nonetheless. Addiction has too negative of a connotation for me.

    duster reproduction

I've been noticing batches of them growing out of the sand. They are qutie small and don't really have a stem. They look like small "tops" of dusters. May be something else but they seem to be really mulitplying and look rather cool.

    black velvet angel

Soho- If you have all of these very large aggressive fish in your 125 you are already overstocked. Would not add anything else and would be thinking of de-populating before problems start. Very surprised others had not already advised such.

    Coral Beauty

Coral beauty is a fine selection. Normally wouls suggest 5-6 months before adding. In this case should be ok if all is good in tank after about 3 months or so. After cycle would add perc and wait 3-4 weeks , then add goby. Wait the full 3 months and add the cb. Make sure there is plenty of LR...

    Maroons

Get a larger one and cross your fingers. If they are still fighting after 4-5 days, you need to remove the more aggressive one, and try again in about 2 weeks , if it fails again, return the aggressive one to LFS and try another one. WIth patience you can get it to work.Good luck.

swilbs83--clicked "new thread" instead of "post reply"

Sorry for clicking wrong box but didn't want to re-type response.....I'm going to bed.... Response....Could be tricky especially as the EA grows into adult. He will want to be king of the tank. You could probably get away with it if you feed small quantities several times a day and in different...
