I know you use Seachem products and have a ? for you. If I am not mistaken you use Reef Advantage Calcium and Reef Builder. If this is correct my question is Do you add equal amounts of each? and Do you do it on the same day?

I would go with the 90 and the 400 watt MH. If you look around you can find the ballast for almost the same price and the bulbs are the same price. You will also appriciate the extra room and it looks more natural with the extra 4 inches in height.

Personally (and many others) find that the 10 k aquasuns are ore red than white. I used them for a while until they were out when I needed them so I tried the actinic white and realized that they where truly white.

I run a mag24 to two returns to the tank and the over flow has a 1.5 inch bulkhead reduced to a 1.25 inch hose. Works fine for me.

I have mine placed like a mountain stacked agaist the back with 4 inches on each side. I think it looks the best this way esp. if you have a deep tank front to back.

I used to use aquasuns and then one time tried the uri white actinic and like it a lot better. Aquasuns tend to put off a reddish tint where as the actinic whites are a crisp white color. I would go with one actinic and one actinic white.

I don't have any experience with the dolphin but I do own 3 Mag pumps (7,12, and 24) and I have not had any problems with any of them.

If your going to have a lot of hard coral you will need to add calcium and buffer.

Sounds like a bacteria bloom from excess nutrients. Post parameters and maybe we can help figure out whats going on.

I had a seaclone on my 55 when it was up and running and I never had a problem with it. It kept the nitrates at 0 and I never had any algea problems. In my opinoin (sp) anything with CPR on it is overpriced.
