congrats sounds like a nice buy to me. my 2 250 watt MH with ballasts alone cost me 500 so throw in the base rock and everything else is freebies. i dont know about the skimmer and filter but it really does all sound like a good start to a great tank. :cheer: :cheer:

mine under 2 250 watt PFO DE pendants run on electronic ballasts 20 k xm bulbs it really looks blue in pictures not so blue in person. i love the look just cant get a good picture anymore.

depends if the live rock is fully cured it should not effect your levels but if it is not fully cured then it could throw you back into a cycle. to tell if its cured smell it if it smells rotten then it is not cured and has die off on it. if put in your tank like that it can restart your cycle...

the toothpick might be to small and to close to your hands for a fish that is not used to you putting your hand in the tank. get a bigger (Longer) stick, give him some time. he will eat when he is ready. just keep offering 1-2 times per day.
