alk should go down over time by the removal by corals. i would just add calcium in the meantime. also check the alk of your tap water.

yeah, you can get a compact flourescent with 2 55 watt bulbs or 2 65 watt bulbs... since it's fish only, just go for the 10k... are you planning on corals?

you should be ok... :D shrooms aren't known for stinging.. although they have stingers, their stingers have become small, less potent compared to some other corals.. other corals/inverts you should be wary of are palthoas and anemones....

marine snow (phytoplankton), kent's microvert, zooplankton.. and on occassion, piece of filet mignon from Morton's steakhouse.. just kiddin..

scooters can be hard.. they need pods to stay alive.. def a tank with lots of live rock and good pod population... the lawnmower is a lil different, doesn't rely on pods but more on algae. but still requires a lot of live rock to graze off of.

i'm no expert on clown behavior, but i'm guessing when it does it to other fish, it's telling them to stay away.. when it does it to the clown fish.. its more mating related? as i've seen my male do it near the glass while near the female clown.. but it seems the females doesn't acknowledge it...
