Difference Between Hard and Soft Corals?

looks fine.. nice corals.. only thing i saw is the zo's.. not a big deal but just watch as they grow/spread and get close to each other.. if they start stinging each other, you'll be able to tell as the polyps always retracts or turn a lil whitish.. but def nothing to worry about at the moment...

    Will the tang be ok?

no doubt about that.. flames are just semi-aggressive in nature.. and probably taking advantage of it's size over the other tank mates.. i added mine last to my tank so that at least the other fish are better acclimated to the environment. not sure if it could nip it to death, but you never...

    Purple Lobster

i have one.. had it for a little over half year now.. it hasn't eaten any fish.. but also because the other fish are bigger or faster.. it's true that it hides most of the time, during the day at least.. you may want to get some moonlights if you want to see it at night. mine's is about 2.5-3...

    First easy SPS?

i agree with pocillopora... i would also suggest a frag of a captive raised seriatopora hystrix (bird's nest)... i just started with sps also and my first sps is the bird's nest.. so far so good.. all goes well and i'm going to get the pocillopora.. but will probably stop there as i don't have...

i've also thought about the RBTA for my tank but decided not to when someone on a different forum said that he had one for a year without any problems.. but one day, the RBTA did sting most of his other corals and killed them. i think most if not all anemones can sting... should caution should...

    Do I Need A Heater?

... so my point is..:D if you tank temp fluctuates a lot during the day, say like 74 to 78 (with lights on), def use a heater to make the temp more stable thruoghout the day

    Do I Need A Heater?

that is strange.. some stars can be tricky. don't know too much about the marbled. but a good number of stars are intolerable of high nitrates, drastic changes in ph, temp, etc.... sensitive fellas

    How many crabs and snails

good detail.. and one other comment regarding the astrea turbo snails.. if they fall on their backs, they can have a hard time righting themselves.. in which case, a hermit may make an easy meal out of it... they don't usually fall off rocks or glass but may do so if touched by a fish or...
