If you had a 300 gallon tank and money was no object

mated pair of the dragons and a bumble bee (Lanceolatus) grouper. those guys are one of the best looking groupers i have ever seen. only other thing would be a big angel. and maybe a unicorn tang. (don't know much on the tangs, but they do look cool)

    help with blue tip acropora

I agree with BM. your lighting is on the edge of keeping acro's. if you put it near the top of your tank with some flow it should be happier. as to breaking off dead parts . . i had a green montipora fall off a ledge and get munched on by a more aggressive coral. more than 75 % of it was...

    Powerhead questions

the maxi's are fully submersible and also can run dry with very little side effects. for those o oyu ut there that don't know RIO's are the worst pump made IMO. they die quite often and when they do they foul the water. i have had 3 , 2 returns and 1 skimmer pump, and they all have died...

    next fish??

basslets be they a royal or a black cap would be great in a tank like the one you have mentioned above . . while hawk fish will kill and eat smaller fish/shrimp/crabs . . they have to be able to fit it in their mouths. i would not put a tang in a 55. while it is a nice size tank, tangs are...
