    update seahorse photos

I had a camera out and my H. erectus seahorses decided that they would pose for me. They started courting earlier tonight and were flashing their colors a tad.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to think about what I want to do with it. New2Salt08- I'll let you know if I decide to give it away.

I always have the oddest things in my tanks. My dwarf tank is a 12g aquapod that I've made some changes to so that it would be dwarf friendy. When I first set up the tank, I did the complete panacur dosing (I can't remember the exact dosage but can look it up). I set the tank up almost 10...

Hmmm. I don't know what to do with it now. It's not going into a seahorse tank, that's for sure. My reef tank has anemones. Maybe a seahorse tank refugium? One of my bigger horses, not the dwarfs. It looks like some say they are pest anemones, some say no. They don't multiply like aptasia...

Well, I was taking down my dwarf tank for a good cleaning; had some hair algae issues. I also wanted to make a few adjustments to the tank. Moved all the ponies to a 10g and found this under some rocks when I was taking rocks out. Weird thing was that when I had set that tank up I knew it...

I'm not sure if it came on that rock. I was moving some rocks in one of my tanks and I saw it. It wasn't really stuck on well so I don't know if it came in on it or something else. It is small about the size of my thumbnail. Any time I take the rocky out of the filter I've got it stuck in...

Have no clue what this type of anemone is besides being a hitch-hiker.

Good. Let's hope that the discoloration on it's nose is just that, a change in color. How are they eating today?

When are you going to do the dip? It's possible that seahorses flesh is being eaten because of the parasites. Take Mr.Clownfish to your house and have him do the dip, right now.

What can you tell me about sun corals?

No it looks fine! You have small tentacles but they are there and they will grow. It's a beautiful specimen. I would just keep feeding it and often. One of my good friends (the one who's sun corals I rescued) called my sun corals fat until I pointed some out while we were diving in Florida...

I always think that I've trained them. nope. They've trained me. If I'm not on time feeding them, they are both sitting at the feeding station waiting. Thank goodness I can't hear them! 7am and 5:30pm are crazy times around here as most of our animals have decided that's when meal time is.

I don't think I've ever seen my female do this, just the male.

What can you tell me about sun corals?

Excellent! Thanks. I was researching the pods and was thinking about getting those and getting them from Dan and Abbie too. I decapsulate my own eggs, but I've gotten the eggs that Dan and Abbie decap too and haven't noticed much of a un-hatched egg rate. I really appreciate you posting the...

    please help

There's an Aquatic Vet in Costa Mesa, if you want the number let me know. I'm not offering to take them, cure them and return them. If you can't care for them, I'm offering to take them. Don't get me wrong, I don't want them, there's a lot to invest in treating a sick horse; time, money...

What can you tell me about sun corals?

The first photo is after I had it a month. I wish I would have taken a photo when I got it. The second photo is after I had it two months! I didn't take a photo of it before I sent it home with him.... ... live and learn.

What can you tell me about sun corals?

I have 3 sun corals. One of them I rescued and spent hours bringing back. Mine are open more than they are closed. Here's a couple of things I do that I've found success with. I've also kidnapped one from a friend of mine, rescued it and gave it back to him with specific instructions. He...
