my has been alive for more than 2 years . Scared me about two months ago when it dropped its crown for the second time in 2 years because it took over a week to pop back out but it came back . SO I would have to say no theyre not that bad.

Nope mine did drop the feathers once and regrew them . I'm sure he is dead or no longer in the tube. Not knowing how long this worms life span is my question was asked to see if mine went sooner than it should Well that means that at two years he went early? Which makes me think what went wrong...

for a 4 inch sand bed in a 90 Gallon you need about 140lbs

It depends if you have Live rock in the tank you probably have enough bacteria to accomidate what you lost. It will regrow in time but avoid cleaning this it does not need it.
