When i had a problem with it i just put a pice of pond liner over the rock and after a few weeks it was gone or i would take the smaller rocks and put them in my sump were it was dark but you have to find out why it's there in the first place or it will come back

The salt does not evaporat only the water evaporats

drill a small hole just above the water line on the return so when the pump stops it will stop the water flow

I wouldn't use it.

if you point a power head at the live rock it will spread fast and if your water is good ie high cal 300+, alk 3.0+ and so on you should see some things after a few weeks but it won't be live for a year or so

Just a few. i put 50 lbs of base with 50 lbs of live took a few weeks till i saw pink on the base rock
