anyone reccomend any brands for calcium reactors? i researched them and found out about Knop's but they are a bit pricey and ive never had experience with calcium reactors i have decided tho that theyre better than kalkwasser setups. please help with reccommendations thanks guys.

hey if u split the line (get a T valve) right before it gets into the DI Cartridge you can get the drinking water from that line and ur tank water from the product line (like always).

in general protein skimmers arent to hard to set up but it is a little work to get the bubbles/ air flow right. just the air valve back and forth till u get tiny bubbles to form. tiny is good big bubbles are bad. once u get the skimmer up and running correctly u will have to empty the collection...

try some mexican turbo snails they're very good for eating algae. i also reccomend getting a sea hare to help eat algae. there kind of ugly but are one of the best and quickest algae eaters in my opinion

hey everyone ive been considering a calcium reactor for some time now. i have no room left in my sump for a reactor so i would need one connected to a pump. I kinda liked the corralife calcium reactor bc it was cheap. Any other reccomendations?

from what i kno red algae is actually corraline growth r u sure its not red slime mixed with brown diatoms? How old is your tank?
