    salinity

I agree with Sebae0 - evaporation, which is inevitable for the most part, will cause the salinity to rise. Are you adding too much top-off? I'm not sure how your salinity would decrease:confused:

    Emerald crab...

Since I've added 3 emerald crabs, I've noticed them scraping purple coraline. What was once solid purple is now covered in white scrapes - I'm sure it will grow back, but are they really eating it?

    great H2O

I agree with Logan - you do not want an air bubbler - it creates the skimmer effect, causes salt creep and does not provide oxygination. Good surface agitation is what's important! Good luck with your new set up - looks good!

    chocolate chip star fish

I have two chocolate chips that are fun to watch, however, now that I have more experience, I wish that I did not have them. They are far from reef compatible and I think that they are eating my snails. Actually, does anyone know if cc stars will eat live snails?

    Green Bubbles?

Thanks for the replys! I did a search - it's definately bubble algae! I'll get an emerald crab - they feed on it, right? I also read that if you pop one of the bubbles it will spread spores. I don't mind the looks of it so should I pop one and let it spread for the emerald to graze on? Or...

    Green Bubbles?

I have small clusters of hard green bubbles growing on my LR. They get larger and some eventually burst. Any idea what they are? Good or bad? I tested my water for the basics...everything is in check... Thanks in advance:)
