Seems to be getting worse and now there seems to almost a reddish brown muck forming on top of the water in the sump(looks the same as the algae but thinner). Not enough flow? Any Ideas?

Looks like green bubble algae to me! Something may be out of wack with your water. Check your nitrate lvls and your phosphates. Don't break the bubble or your release spores into you tank.

I recently moved my tank and now I have diatoms all over my LR. I know its common in new setups, but my question is will it effect any of my livestock? And do I wait it out and let it go away on its own or will some water changes help? Thanks!!!
