Thats a beautiful tank, however, I was wondering if the DSB has interferred with an fish additions, simply because it takes up so much of the tank space.

I went into the living room this evening after the lights had been off for around an hour and saw my Flame Hawkfish almost white.....it seems that he loses his color when I turn the lights off, however, after the light had been on for around 5 minutes, he was back to his original bright...

I would say it relative to him wanting a mate.....I wouldn't worry too much right now....however, please keep us posted as to his condition.

I would say he is extremely stressed, has his breathing gotten any better, if not he could have gotten some on his gills. If your sand situation has gotten better just give him a couple more days, he should get back to normal.

I wouldn't worry until you see small signs of visible damage.....but a crab to keep they at bay would be a wise decision.

I would say all the suggestions are a little bit of over kill, I would say about 75 hermits (whatever type) and 50 snails. It seems that if you get some of what was suggested, you tank will be overrun. I would post a thread for Bang Guy and see what he says.

I would also say that snails are the best cleaners, and the Mexican's are the most versitile.

I have a tank with a Valentini and he has never touched my hermits....as long as you keep him fed he should bother them.

Actually in this case, I don't think that you really have to worry about either fish, since they both are fairly calm......I've had Tangs and Clowns many different times and have never seen the slightest "difference of opinions"

So am I understanding this correct....people quarentine their fish before they put them into their own tank...please help me I'm confused and can't get up.

I would really love to have a mated pair for Maroons.....how long have you had them?

You also may have a clean tank with not enough food for the inverts to graze on.
