what kind are the ones 15 down from the top?my lfs has some and I was thinking of getting some.

mine looks like the bubble tip that is advertised in the invert here on swf so is swf bleached?

light does play a big role with cyano buy a $10 timer and leave your lights on for 7-8 hrs,but get rid of the cyrno first.

I to have a fluval

they dont add anything you have to keep them clean.I clean mine every 3 weeks and no problems.

the red algae might be from a different problem.have you changed the lights or leave them on for more than 8-9 hours?

is the skimmer working and when did you do a partial water change?the bottom tank is a sump or fuge.where do you get your water to place in your tank that evaporates?
