There was a study done on another site where a lady was keeping several different kinds of goniopora for over 2 years... (study continues) she was using MH lighting, and oyster eggs mixed with cyclopeeze to feed her gonioporas... you of corse will need pristine water quality

Thomas712 i was just reading a thread on montis and saw the growth stages of the monti you have pictured above... Did all that grow from 1 frag? I just got my first monti a few months ago and though iv already seen growth i dont see it growing extra... shelves i guess lol

I bought a frag of this as my first sps about 2 weeks ago.. Iv already noticed some growth, but i dont see ANY polyps... do they come out only at night? Are they so small i can't see them?

I had pumping xenia that seemingly crashed.. looked like absolute crap... a puddle on a rock basically... it now opens looks great and pumps like a 4 year olds hand asking for candy.. I think pumpin xenia just means they are happy. lol

Just make sure you have enough light, and a plan to replace your calcium consumption if any of them are hard corals.

Are you sure its a GBTA? Doesn't look like one i've ever seen... what kind of lighting do you have? I would get it out from behind there.. Anenomes arent always the smartest and sometimes craw into bad situations. If it stays in the dark it will die.

Why wont my friggin xenia grow? I have 542 watts over a 55 gallon Calcium is 440 Alk is 11.2 PH 8.3 I dose vitiamins, strontium, magnisum, and iodine 2 times a week and add phytoplankton every other day.. My pom pon xenia look great... but they just arent spreading.

i first noticed it with all the lights on.. dont worms usually come out after dark? I guess it could be a hitch hiker mushroom.... ill have to cut him off the coral soon.. the bubble has seen better days i let the alk and calcium drop low and the skelton in the center of the coral is exposed...

I dont have a pic of it but i noticed it comin off theback of my bubble coral.. at first i thought it was a mushroom but when i picked the coral up it shrivled up faster then iv ever seen a mushroom shrivel up Its red, looked like a flower petal... didnt seem to have a mouth like mush room...
