umm most live rock providers get their rock from the ocean or the gulf. the person I bought my rock from harvests his in the keys. I didnt cure mine for some dumb reason so I had an amonia spike.

I heard that stress with the fish causes the parisite to come. Because when I first got my sailfin tang he was completly fine until i got him home. Like 3 days later he had ick. Luckily i dipped him in freshwater and killed it before it got into any further stages.
