Like a couple of years ago i had 2 15 watt fixtures above my 55 gal sw tank and they wernt suposed to be used on saltwater tanks. Whenever i would turn them on I would get shocked...lol

Why dont you get live sand. I use argonite. It cost like 20 bucks for 30 lb.

Its all preference. Some people like to mix and some people like to have 1 kind. Some people like florida and sme like fiji. IMO the Florida is the coolest and I dont like to mix it with anything else. But thats just me!

When I firset started my tank i had a lot of feather dusters. They really need good water quality. When the water is bad the feathers will just fall off and later when it gets better(or so it seems) they grow back. I think you will be ok having 2 of them

i also think that the best tank to start out with is a 55 gallon. They seem to be not too big and not too small. I started out with one and it has been great. Than after a couple of years go bigger or really small. Im upgrading to a 90 gallon now.

I have had my anemone forever in my tank with 110 watts of fleuoresents and he is huge nd happy!
