    Diamond Gobies!!!!!

Mine moves sand all day. I think they can be considered not only sand sifters but shifters as well. I have hills all over the place and he has dug all the sand from under the rocks. Good think I put the rock in before the sand otherwise potential landsides might have killed him.

    Hydrometer

You may need to flick the unit with your finger to get any air bubbles off of it. Hydrometers don't like air bubbles. Athough aerating your mixed water is preferrable, it is not absolutely necessary as long as your are moving the water sufficiently.

Blue throat, Blue jaw, Blue cheek, are all deiffernt names for the same fish. In that size of a tank the Niger might start a fight with the blue jaw.

    phosphates

If you used phosban in a bag or reactor unit you need to rinse it first to get the dust out of it. If you get that in your tank it could be bad for the fish. Thats according to what I read on a container of PhosBan I just got.

    Amquel plus

I would not add anything to the tank, just let it cycle on its own like MichaelTX said. Also I would not listen to the LFS that tried to sell you that. It sounds like they just want your money.

I have a 90 gallon with Xenia and it grows like crazy and looks great. My water parameters are similar except my CA is around 420. Your CA is really high which is typical of Oceanic salt which I used to use and quit it because not only was the CA low the alk was low and the pH was low. I...
