My Clarki got pop eye when I put him in a netted cage (cause he was picking on my percula). He rubbed his eye on the netting and it got infected. It eventually went away on its own after I let him out of the cage. I've read where they frequently loose sight in the afflicted eye.

I think you are supposed to add them at the same time so that they don't already have a "teritory" and try to exert dominance. My brother added his at different times and it worked out fine, but the 120 provides ample room for them to get away from one another.

My brother has 120 gallon with a hippo, yellow and sailfin tang and they all do good together.

So would it be better to put eggcrate over you tank instead of a glass top? Will more light penetrate through the eggcrate than through the glass? Will water splashing through the eggcrate creat more salt crud on my bulbs? Sorry for all the questions.

From everything I've heard and read, beach sand has too many contaminents to put in your tank. I'm facing the same problem though. I have CC in my tank and my nitrates stay high. I need to make the switch to sand too.
