I also acclimate my snails before they go in my tank. I didn't acclimate them long enough one time and they all died. I do mine for about an hour.

I want to say I read something that said you need 3-4 watts per gallon for the live rock. As for the color temp, I think it will still be personal preference. I use VHO's with one 10,000 K and one 50/50 actinic.

As long as it is fish only, it should just be a matter of personal preference as to what color light you like best. The higher the number the more blue the light will be.

What kind of substrate do you have? If it is CC, vacuum it really good while you are doing your water changes. You might also increase your frequency of water changes. A protien skimmer would definately be a plus since it will remove waste before they have a chance to go through the cycle...

It gets based on swimming room, not gallons. A lot of people on here recommend 6 feet of swimming room for a lot of the tangs. :happyfish

Oh also, I found on the web that 1 pound is equal to 3500 calories. So if in one week you cut back 1000 calories on your diet and burn 2500 calories through exercise, You "should" loose 1 pound. (or any combination like that)

I read somewhere that you burn more fat by walking than you do running, since fat gets burned anaerobicly. When you run, you use oxygen to burn sugar and carbs. Of course walking takes twice as long to burn the same total number of calories. Don't know how true this is, but I read it somewhere.

There may be no way to make this happen, but what if you took some braided fishing line like spyder wire or something like that, that has a really strong pound test and cut your support out (but leave a tab on the front and back) Drill some holes in to tabs and tie the fishing line across...
